THE PROGRAM
of the Kyiv City Society for the Protection of Animals

1. Establish the network of shelters for homeless animals (along the perimeter of city Kyiv).
2. Establish sterilization stations in each district in Kyiv, where homeless and outbred animals, as well as the ones owned by poor persons, are sterilized free of charge.
3. Create a standing committee for the supervision on treatment of animals in circuses, vivariums, animal training centers, catch service organizations, animal flee markets.
4. Popularization (via the press, TV, thematic booklets) of people' negative attituge towards hunting as to an entertainment on animals death.

5. Press municipal authorities for re-profiling of the Communal Company "Animals in the City" into an organization for sterilization and protection of animals.
6. Introduce the zoopolice – the body for instant reaction on the signals of cruelty towards animals (develop the concept of this body).
7. Create a city / state Center of animals protection in Kyiv or in the suburb (for example in Irpen).
   The Center consists of:
1. education and methodology department;
2. the centre organizing public lectures with a cimema hall for demonstration of thematic movies for children and adults;
3. veterinary clinic rendering free services;
4. exemplary sterilization station;
5. exemplary shelter for neglected animals;
6. paddock and training ground for the demonstration of animals (to visitors, potential owners, to children on the lectures about humane animals treatment).
8. Press the Verhovnaya Rada of Ukraine for the law «On the Protection of Animals from Brutal Treatment».
9. Organize thematic annual festivals (and/or other performances) for ethical attitude towards animals.
10. Press the ministry of education for the introduction in the schools the lessons of humane treatment of animals.
11. In Kyiv and other cities in Ukraine perform annual seminar on animal protection that involve experts from international animal protection organizations.
